Time flies by in a blink of eye. In this fast-paced world, life can be overwhelming to say the least. How does any of this relate to our ripple effect theme? Picture yourself as the drop creating the ripple that starts the effect. As it's creator, it is your job to keep the ripple calm, stress free, flowing with creativity, growing and balanced. Let's takes a closer look at these jobs.
It takes just small steps to reduce stress in your life to make a profound effect on every aspect of those you touch and beyond. Find a simple practice that can center you. A mindful breathing exercise or short meditation session. A quick walk to connect you to the natural world. It can be as simple as wearing a meaningful accessory or keeping a decorative item in your workspace that serve as a reminder to pause and find calm for a moment.
What feels like the weight of a big problem will become a lighter load if you take time to find yourself throughout the day. Spread calm to those around you. Check your stress at the door when you head home. Separate your work and personal life. Remember just how far your ripple spreads. Stress effects the family unit. Share calming techniques with your family. Set the tone at home and pick your battles. Light candles. Practice yoga.
Remember you are the center of that ripple. You have control of it's effect!
Stuck in a funk. It stinks. Sitting there. Fingers on the home row. Cursor blinking at you. Blank canvas. Paints drying. Brush in hand. If you rely on the "right side of your brain" (just a myth), then you know how simple it can be to slip into a sinkhole. You are also aware that you always, eventually climb your way out. The creative juices will flow once the first hurdle is crossed.

Where to start? Walk away. Do something completely unrelated. Take a shower. Personally, I am brilliant when I am washing my hair!
Creativity doesn't just effect the arts. Everybody gets stuck in a rut, personally, socially, emotionally and physically. It's okay. But remember you are important. Something, someone, some who, what, where, when or why needs you to keep your ripple moving along. So turn that frown upside down and move forward.
Ready to try again? Break each task into small, manageable parts. This can create momentum. Take a moment to reflect. Look around at your surroundings. Often what we live is what we create. People, moments and things in our everyday lives are the ripples that effect and channel our inspiration and creativity.
Relationships are effects of our ripple. Building connections in our personal and professional lives is part of human nature. In our rushed around world of social media, texts, and emails, have we forgotten how important it is to speak to our people, hear their voices, meet up, make eyecontact and share real emotions.
When did it become okay to build connections and nurture relationships using only electronics. A simple handwritten not of appreciation or just a thoughtful gesture goes a long way. A small gift can symbolize the importance of a friendship or the direction of a relationship with someone.
"Lol, idk, tbh, 💐, 🥂, 😂 and 😢" will never have the capability of creating a ripple effect that talking, laughing, crying, catching up, sharing stories and acts of kindness will so naturally and easily be able to do.
Be cognizant of your well-being and listen to your body. It should not feel like a chore to incorporate mindfulness into your routine. Make simple small changes. They will feel like a natural part of your routine before you know it. Get ideas, or at list a good laugh, from books in our Coffee Table Therapy collection!
Remember, you are the creator💧. Remember your job. Recognize your importance. Embrace simple methods. Align your beliefs with the ripple effect's philosophy. Appreciate that minor interventions can [and will] create impactful change. By doing so, you will transform everyday challenges and realize a more balanced and fulfilling life.
